Game Rules

Pontoon is Blackjack's bolder British cousin. Both dealer cards stay face-down — you're going in blind. Land a Pontoon for 2:1, collect five cards for the Five Card Trick and win regardless of the dealer's total, or hit a suited Pontoon for a 3x Golden Event multiplier. High stakes, hidden dealer, and a $1,000,000 jackpot on every suited Pontoon in Millionaire Mode.

1. Bet up. Higher stakes mean higher Millionaire Mode trigger chances and bigger Golden Event payouts.
2. Your two cards are face-up; the dealer's are completely hidden. You play on instinct and strategy, not on reading the dealer's upcard.
3. Twist aggressively — you must hit on 14 or below. Go for the Five Card Trick whenever you can build to five cards safely.
4. Buy (Double) on strong starting positions — a doubled bet on a Pontoon or Five Card Trick path pays double.
5. Split pairs when the math supports it — split Aces always, avoid splitting 10s.
6. Land a suited Pontoon — Ace and 10-value in the same suit — for the Golden Event 3x multiplier. With Millionaire Mode on, that suited Pontoon could also trigger the $1,000,000 jackpot.

Winning Strategies

Pontoon rewards aggression. Hit on everything under 15 — those are mandatory anyway. Push further: if you have four cards and can still hit safely, go for the Five Card Trick. A five-card 19 beats a dealer 20. That's not a mistake — that's Pontoon.

Buy aggressively on 9, 10, and 11. The dealer is hidden, so you're not reacting to weakness — you're maximising your own strong positions. Double the bet, take your card, and if it hits, you've just doubled your payout on a quality hand.

Split Aces without question. Always. Each Ace given a fresh card is a potential Pontoon — and Pontoon pays 2:1. Two potential 2:1 winners from one pair of Aces is the most EV-efficient split in the game.

Keep Millionaire Mode on at $20+ bets for maximum trigger rate. The suited Pontoon is the jackpot condition — every hand you play is a suited Pontoon attempt. When it arrives in Millionaire Mode, the Golden Event fires a 3x multiplier on the 2:1 Pontoon payout AND potentially the $1,000,000 jackpot. That combination is the highest single-hand payout available in Pontoon.

Provably Fair Gaming

In Pontoon the dealer's cards are face-down, but the provably fair system means they were fixed before the first card was dealt. SHA-256 commits the full deck order in advance. The house cannot change the dealer's hidden cards based on your actions. Mathematical certainty, not a promise.

After any session, verify every card. The server seed is revealed, you reconstruct the deck, and every card — including the ones you never saw face-up — matches exactly. The dealer's hidden hand was always what it was. No manipulation possible.
