Game Rules

Mississippi Stud is pure hand-building pressure. No dealer to beat — just you, your cards, and three streets of decision-making. Each revealed community card either strengthens your hand or tests your nerve. Bet heavy on good cards, bail early on bad ones, and the pay table rewards every premium hand from Jacks-or-better all the way to Royal Flush at 500:1.

1. Lock in your Ante and receive two private hole cards face down.
2. Reveal your two hole cards — this is your first read. Bet 1–3x on 3rd Street or cut your losses and fold.
3. The first community card hits. Three cards showing — reassess and bet 1–3x on 4th Street or fold.
4. The second community card lands. Four cards visible — place your 5th Street bet at 1–3x or fold.
5. The final community card completes your five-card hand.
6. Jacks or better pays out on the pay table; below Jacks, all bets are lost regardless of how much you wagered.

Winning Strategies

Mississippi Stud rewards conviction. Three streets, three chances to bet 3x, and the pay table pays 500:1 on a Royal Flush on all your bets combined. A Royal Flush on a 10-unit hand (all 3x) returns 5,000 units. That's the ceiling, and it's reachable from any hand that starts strong.

Front-load aggression on premium two-card combinations. Suited connected cards (e.g., 9-10 of the same suit) are strong two-card starts and worth 3x at 3rd Street. You're building a hand with straight flush potential. When the third card supports the draw, keep the pressure on at 4th Street. When it misses, reassess rather than chasing blindly.

Never flat-bet through Mississippi Stud. The pay table is structured to reward maximum investment on winning hands. A pair of Queens hit at 1x on all streets pays 1:1 on each of three streets — modest. Hit that same pair with 3x on all streets and you've tripled the return. Correct hand identification plus correct bet sizing is where the real profit lives.

Use the three-street structure to your advantage. Fold bad starts early, survive to 5th Street with premium draws at maximum investment, and the variance averages out in your favour over enough hands. This is not a passive game — active decision-making on every street is what separates winning sessions from breakeven ones.
